Modelled globe after a late 18th Century example by George Adams, mathemetical instrument maker to his majesty Fleet Street London, with 3 inch (7.6cm.) diameter sun ball, the steel planetary arms with ivory planets and sattelites, the horizontal plate engraved with calendar and Zodiac scales, comets with sightings and other information, the drum enclosing the winding mechanism, operated by a brass, steel, and ivory crank handle, raised on a tapering pillar support, with folding tripod, the cabriol legs terminating in pad feet, with tellurium accessory, probably French, the geared mechanism arranged so as the right on the drum with reproduction 3 inch (8.2cm.) diameter terrestrial globe after G. Ferguson, the planetary arms with mahogany board for wall display 24 inch (61cm.) wide, the planetarium when assembled
