Oval, the base and sides with rust colored guilloché enamel enclosing four-color gold chased oval scenic panels within stiff-leaf borders joined by enamelled garlands, the cover set with an enamel plaque probably Swiss, circa 1800 within similar decoration, marked inside cover with spurious marks for J-B Sauvage, Paris, 1762; bezel also struck with French control marks for 1864-1888
