Cylindrical, the tapering hardstone handle encircled by a gold snake with cabochon sapphire head, the mount with a band of translucent red enamel over guilloché ground set with three trefoils with cabochon sapphires between beaded borders, the base of the spreading foot engraved with a crowned crest, marked on snake
