A PAIR OF VICTORIAN SILVER FIVE-LIGHT CANDELABRA
Maker's mark of Frederick Elkington, Birmingham, 1887
Each on shaped triangular stepped base, with three leaf-clad paw feet centering anthemion after a Roman lamp-base, rising to a columnar fluted stem surmounted by acanthus and a foliate calyx, the four scroll arms each suspending a chain, with circular wax-pans and urn-form nozzles, the central stiff leaf-clad standard surmounted by a similar wax-pan and nozzle, the base engraved with a crest and motto, fully marked, also stamped under base 1228 ELKINGTON & CO
