We are grateful to the Iconographische Bureau for confirming the identity in the present picture of Maurits, Prince of Orange, who received the Order of the Garter in 1612. The other portrait, of the figure on the brown horse on the left, is probably his brother, Frederick Henry, who received the Garter in 1627.
