The attribution should read: Maximilian Pfeiler (active in Rome 1st quarter 18th century).
Dr. Alberto Cottino has kindly informed us that this picture is a variant of the still life by Pfeiler in the Palazzo di Montecitorio, Rome. Both the latter and the present picture bear the artist's monogram 'MP'.
