The very slightly curved blade with downturned tip and upper ridge extensively inlaid with silver inscriptions along both sides and on the spine, a similarly worked magic square above, the horn hilt carved and pierced with foliate motifs extending from twin silver bands worked in repouss with scrolling foliage and a floral lattice, the silver sheath worked in repouss with dense scrolling foliage around inset hardstones and mother of pearl panels carved with stupas the reverse well-worked at each end with animals among foliage, the centre plain save for an inscription cartouche with the name Allah
