A projected design for the Trevi Fountain, Rome

Another version of this drawing, with ground plan, is in the Gabinetto Nazionale delle Stampe, Rome (inv. no. FN 6718). The present drawing shows alternative details not present in the Rome sheet. Nicola Salvi won the commission after a competition in 1730.
