The Madonna and Child with the Infant Saint John the Baptist

The present picture was published by Ludovivo Magugliani in 1956 as by Leonardo da Vinci (op. cit.) and is sold with his certificate of authenticity.

The present composition relates closely to a picture attributed to Bernadino de' Conti in the Kaiser Friedrich Museum, Berlin, and to a picture formerly attributed to Bernardino Lanino (died 1578), formerly in the collection of Lady Lindsay, 1880, and then with Leger Galleries, London.
