Several interior views of the construction sheds at Brighton including the 'Erection Shop', 'Machine Shop', 'Fitting Shop Benches', 'Wheel Shop', 'Boiler Shop', 'Smith Shop' and 'Pattern Shop'; a few group portraits of the workers and an individual portrait of William Stroudley, Chief Engineer and Designer at Brighton for several years from 1870; and sixteen studies of locomotives manufactured at the site.
