Two albums containing a total of ninety-two albumen prints, including one three-part and one two-part panorama of Hong Kong, 8 x 33 in. and 8 x 21 in., other sizes from 9 x 7 in. to 9 x 11 in. or the reverse, one hand-coloured, several signed and numbered in the negatives, the majority numbered and/or titled in pencil on verso, loosely inserted at corners, the former album with printed title labels or ink titles on mounts, the latter titled in ink on mounts, paper covers, each titled, inscribed Arthur Pearson Kingsfield Rectory and one dated in ink on front cover, bound with string, lge. oblong 4to. Lot Essay

The first album comprises views of Hong Kong harbour, the Protestant Cemetery, the Race Course, eight views around Canton including rivers and boating, a street scene, the Examination Halls, and two interior views of the Temple of Five Hundred Genii, a portrait study of an aristocratic woman from Foochow; views around Kobe, Hakone Lake; and four costume studies. The second album includes mainly views and architectural studies in and around Benares, Cawnpore, Lucknow, Agra and Delhi.
