Lot Essay
Born in Moscow in 1923, Borodulin fought in the Red Army during WWII and took part in the fall of Berlin. He became involved with photography after the war, first in the lab and then as a photographer. From the late 1950s he worked as an assistant to Baltermants, before becoming chief photographer for the illustrated magazine Ogonyok. He was considered one of the Soviet Union's leading sports photographers and photographed six Olympic Games. He currently lives in Israel and continues to work as a photographer.
