The cut-cornered panels, shaped brackets and distinctive drawer pulls feature on furniture supplied by Thomas Chippendale to Paxton House and Dumfries House in Scotland (see C.Gilbert, The Life and Work of Thomas Chippendale, New York, 1978, vol.II, figs.91 and 460).
