The rectangular upper section with molded cornice above a pair of glazed bevelled doors enclosing shelves and one scalloped display bracket, the sides similarly glazed, the base with featherbanded faux-panelled frieze centering a shell and foliate-carved apron, on slightly cabriole legs headed by leafy scrolls, on pad feet, formerly with further display brackets

This walnut china-cabinet on stand with Venus-shell cartouche and acanthus-wrapped legs can be compared to an example attributed to cabinet-maker Giles Grendey (d.1780), sold Christie's London, 13 November 1997, lot 36.
