An Italian bronze inkwell in the Pompeiian zoomorphic style, 19th Century,
the main body of cylindrical form with running fixed acanthus; letter clip in the form of a bovine head, flanked by two small sconces, (one associated), the handle modelled as an inverted horse's head and neck; all on three monopodial feet; brass cover with flambeau finial -- 5in. (13.3cm.) high, 6in. (15.2cm.) wide.
