A late Ming blue and white 'kraak porselein' dish
Circa 1600
Finely painted at the centre with a large double-line medallion enclosing a bird perched on a gnarled branch of fruit issuing from rockwork, surrounded on the well and shaped rim by moulded fan-shaped panels of peach-stems alternating with Buddhistic Symbols between narrow vertical panels of ribbons (rim frittings)
