An Arita underglaze blue and gilt dish
18th Century
Painted in the Kangxi style with a central floral roundel surrounded by a ruyi-head band below a row of petals each enclosing a flowering stem, larger petals repeated on the well and shaped rim on a blue ground enriched in gilt scrollwork, the reverse with Buddhistic symbols above pointed leaves round the footrim (gilt rubbed)
