A green- and amber-glazed red pottery tripod vessel and cover
Han Dynasty
The globular body encircled by a central raised rib below upright curved handles, supported on elegant tripod splayed legs, the domed cover moulded in relief with two crossed fish within a raised medallion and surmounted by three conical bosses, surrounded by swirling lines and a pointed-leaf pattern band, the interior glazed ochre, the green glaze to the exterior now altered to a gold and silver iridescence (rim repair)
