A rare painted grey pottery figure of a duck
Han Dynasty
The hollow figure modelled with its head positioned forwards, pierced with an aperture at the top, the feet seemingly tucked away in the water, painted in white, black and red pigment with overlapping feathers and details of the face (small restorations)
24.5 cm. wide, wood stand

A similar duck from the Hardy Collection was sold at Christie's, New York, on 21 September 1995, lot 14.
