Painted to the centre with an acolle coat-of-arms, surmounted by a winged helmet and star, flanked by extensive feathery mantling above a banderole incribed Veritas Vincit, within a spearhead-pattern border, the rim with intertwined vine and plum blossom forming a band in iron-red and gilt (rim frittings)

The male coat-of-arms are those of the Charl family from Amsterdam. The other one is unknown, but is similar to the one of the Flemish family Gaderpenninc. See lot 216, sold in our Amsterdam Rooms, 8 December 1998.
