A Fine Italian Silver-Gilt Travelling Writing Set
Marked twice, Rome, circa 1730 (Bulgari, pp. 20-22)
The lower wider part of the body with domed and lobed top supporting cylindrical container, decorated all over with woven pattern (gilding worn at places), consisting of three detachable implements including sand caster for blotting, ink pot with a narrow opening and a waxholder. The cap of the waxholder engraved with the initials of the owner in contemporary typical Italian Hebrew square script.
