In the Ivory Coast town of Danan, a troup of dancers - animist Yacouba from Liberia - gave a special performance in honour of Monique Cras and a film-director. "The first team danced on the spot to nostalgic songs, mouths closed, black feathers in their hands, beplumed head-dress, two decorated wings on their side", wrote the artist in her unpublished typescript Randonne en A.O.F.
