An ebonised and inlaid walnut and burrwood writing cabinet
The design attributed to Ernest Gimson, circa 1930
The upper compartment with burrwood fall-front inlaid with ebonised banding, opening to reveal tan leather inset writing surface, the back with small central cupboard, flanked by three shallow drawers on either side and compartments below, the lower portion with five short drawers and one long drawer, each with octagonal ebonised grip handles, the whole edged with complementary ebonised banding

Lot Essay
The present lot was given to George S. Ingles A.R.C.A. by his colleagues at the Leicester College of Arts and Crafts upon his retirement. The vellum presentation scroll will accompany this lot.
