A French silvered and gilt bronze clock garniture
In the Orientalist Style, Circa 1880
Comprising a mantel clock and a pair of vases: each decorated all-over with pierced scrolling foliage, the clock of architectural form, surmounted by a cupola above a rectangular canopy supported on octagonal columns, enclosing the circular silvered dial, with Roman numerals and spear hands, with twin-train movement, on rectangular base and square feet; the vases of baluster shape with a pair of pierced and scrolled handles, on conforming base ; each piece on a shaped giltwood and velvet-covered wooden plinth.
The clock: 8 in. (22.3 cm.) wide; 20 in. (50.8 cm.) high; 7 in. (19 cm.) deep
The vases: 13 in. (34.2 cm.) high
