The stepped top with a moulded edge above a central glazed panel door, flanked to each side by a shaped glazed panel, the sides each with a shaped glazed panel, with mirrored interior and three adjustable glass shelves, on square shaped cabriole legs with foliate-cast sabots, the lock-plate engraved P SORMANI, 10 r. Lot Essay

The firm established in Paris in 1847 by Paul Sormani exhibited consistently at the International shows during the second half of the century. In 1867, the firm re-located to 10, rue Charlot.
