A finely-carved German ivory cased dressing-table mirror

In the Rococco style, carved all-over with foliage and trailing flowers, the top centred by an oval cartouche surmounted by a pair of courting doves and flanked to each side by a putto, with pierced and scrolled corners, each side as a column, on the right headed by a spouting fountain mask, the bottom centred by gushing water, with a dove to the side, on pierced and scrolled feet, with hinged pierced and foliate-carved support, signed in Gothic script to the back left corner Aug: Voegtle. Esslingen., traces of gilding; in original black leather and blue silk and velvet-lined case
