A Worcester centrepiece
Circa 1765
Painted in shades of pink, iron-red, puce, green, yellow and purple, the shell, coral and seaweed-encrusted rockwork body with three tiers, the two lower tiers each composed of three scallop-shells beneath a single upper shell, the interiors of the shells with bouquets of flowers and edged with gilding (restored through one scallop-shell, other restored chips to scallop-shells, other minor damages)
