Circa 1700, the interior of the cover with an indistinct inscription
With a spirally-moulded bulbous body, slightly flared cylindrical neck and plaited loop handle, painted in blue with clusters of dots, sprigs of foliage and flowers, some flowers supporting perched birds (very slight chipping to rim and upper terminal) the contemporary pewter mount with ball thumbpiece (damage to cover)
