A Sevres oviform teapot and cover
1767, blue interlaced L mark enclosing date-letter o, surmounted by painter's mark of a cross for Xhrouuet
Painted with alternate bleu nouveau panels with gilt entwined foliage ornament and panels of flower garlands on a puce pointill ground divided by pendant gilt scrolling foliage between gilt line rims, the cover similarly decorated with gilt carnation finial (minute chip to tip of spout and slight chipping to finial)
