A Bttger Goldchinesen hexagonal baluster tea-caddy
Circa 1725, probably gilt at the workshop of Abraham Seuter in Augsburg
Moulded with six recessed panels, three with gilt grounds alternating with three gilded with Orientals supported by Laub-und-Bandelwerk panels, one panel with an Oriental in a tree, another with acrobats and the other with an Oriental seated below a canopy of scrolling foliage flanked by perched exotic birds (minute chip to footrim, wear to gilding in places)
