A Meissen quatrefoil yellow-ground teapot and cover
Circa 1735, blue crossed swords mark, three impressed circles
The teapot with short gilt spout, the loop handle with scrolling terminals and painted with indianische Blumen, one side painted with figures by ships at a shoreline, the other with travellers in a mountainous landscape, within quatrefoil gilt line cartouches, the domed quatrefoil cover with four similar cartouches around a quatrefoil knop finial (cover with shallow chip to underside of rim, wear to gilding in places)
