A Meissen figure of the lacemaker known as Barbara Uttmann
Circa 1746, traces of blue crossed swords mark to underside of base
Modelled by J.F. Eberlein, wearing a red-striped headscarf, puce bodice, white apron with puce dot ornament, yellow skirt and red shoes, sowing a small garment resting on a cushion in her lap, seated on a green cushion on a shaped grassy rockwork base (minute chip to tip of right shoe, slight flaking to green and puce enamels)
