Comprising: a set of four, each applied with a tinted and inscribed print; and a set of three, inscribed with verses and with painted decoration; and a beech roundelay box, the cover inscribed in ink (14)

Lot Essay

Cheese and confections were eaten off roundelays after a meal. The guests would then be required to turn their platters over and in turn recite the verse thereupon.
