Counting the bag

It has been suggested that the keeper depicted is a Mr. Sanderson, an employee of the Turton family, owners of the Kildare estate. The estate and The Sun Inn depicted is situated just south of Middlesborough, on the northern edge of the north Yorkshire moors.
