Lot Essay

The rifle for which the present designs were executed was made for H.I.H. Prince Abdoreza Pahlavi, Shah of Iran in 1985. The drawings were executed for the engraver K.E. Preater. The rifle was sold by Christie's, 28 October 1992, lot 7 (34,500).
