Contemporary French red morocco gilt, sides with Dubuisson plaque [for signed examples see Abbey sale, Sotheby's, 19 June 1967, lot 1605] spine in compartments with fleur-de-lis at centre of interlace pattern, floral gilt endpapers, gilt edges.
Almanach royal, anne [1762]. Paris: Le Breton, [1761]. 8 (195 x 120mm). French royal arms on title. Contemporary French red morocco gilt, sides with elaborate plaque and central unidentified arms, fleurs-de-lis in spine compartments, blue silk endpapers, gilt edges (extremely light rubbing). A rare example of this plaque. The Abbey catalogue (Sotheby's, 19 June 1967, lot 1617) knew of only one other example; the Gumuchian collection also contained one example (no. 273).
