signed 'HELEN BRADLEY' and with a fly (lower right), signed again, dated and inscribed 'On a warm May Morning Mother said/it would be very nice to go for a walk/to the Enchanted Garden to see the/spring flowers and the wild cherry Blossom/George and I would have liked to go on the sands, but Mother and the Aunts also Miss/Carter (who wore Pink) said they were sure/that Mr Taylor (the Bank Manager) would be taking/his morning walk that way and they would/most likely meet him. We did meet him and/he walked back with Miss Carter until he/saw Emily Maitland saying how glad he was/to see her. George and I ran to take a peep/into Grandpa's old shed, but George said he/could hear an animal snorting and we/felt sure it was Biddy Murphy's Tiger hiding/near. How glad we were to have Mr Taylor with/us because he was so brave and the year was 1906./Helen Layfield Bradley 1974.' (on a label attached to the reverse)
