Lot Essay

This is a numbered drawing, which would have been lent to pupils by Cotman for the purpose of copying. The drawing was dated to circa 1817 by Sidney Kitson. The Bradfer-Lawrence collection was on loan to the Norwich Castle Museum 1970-1976.
