An English copper elliptical sundial
Dated 1911
With adjustable gnomon, the circular dial inscribed Presented to Mr Councillor S. Osborn J.P. on the occasion of his marriage by the managers, staff and students of the Technical School of Art, Sheffield. June 14th 1911 and I only tell the sunny hours, supported by a winged cherub mask above scrolls, on a square spreading foot, above a square plate, on a square York stone stepped base
