A Victorian gilt-brass carriage timepiece

The foliate engraved case with large bevelled glasses and foliate-cast and engraved handle to a deeply recessed top with escapement viewing glass, similar bevelled glasses to the front and sides, the glass rear door sliding downwards with a catch in the base, the white enamel Roman chapter disc signed Dent London 1302 and with subsidiary seconds intersecting XII, blued steel hands, a foliate cast and chased gilt mask, the four pillar single chain fusee movement with gilt platform with free-sprung blued steel helical spring and cut bimetallic compensated balance to underslung lever escapement, the plain backplate signed Dent, London. 1302.
