The pedestal base on ormolu feet with ebony mouldings and line inlay to the front door and sides, the door opening to reveal a mercurial barometer tube, the clock case with a moulded black marble plinth on ormolu feet supporting a white marble pedestal case with ormolu foliate mounts and centred by a white enamel barometer with pierced blued steel hands, the clock case within an ormolu balustrade surmounted by an ormolu eagle, the white enamel Arabic dial signed Guy d'Amour AParis with pierced ormolu hands and blued steel arrow head hand indicating to the concentic outer date ring, the twin barrel movement with external countwheel strike on bell
