Margaine/retailed by P. Orr & Sons; fourth quarter 19th century
The silvered dial signed by the retailers P. Orr & Sons Madras, within the arched sector calibrated 0-60, the progressive Arabic hours in their circular windows indicating to the minutes in passing, alarm disc below, the movement with cut bimetallic compensated balance to the lever platform, strike/repeat/alarm on a blued steel gong on the backplate with stamp for Margaine and numbered 10879, the case with acanthus cast detached fluted columns and foliate cast handle and repeat button to the top
