The silvered dial signed A. Johannsen & Co. Maker to the Admiralty, The Indian Govt. & Royal Navies of Italy, Spain & Portugal, 49 Minories, London No. 6670, Roman hour numerals, inscribed within the subsidiary seconds dial the Government Mark above 1/1914, up-and-down dial, blued steel hands, top-plate inscribed with the Government Mark and numbered 6670, Earnshaw escapement, cut bimetallic balance with Kullberg auxililary and cyclindrical heat compenstaion weights, palladium helical balance spring, spring foot detent with jewelled locking stone, brass bowl and gimbal, two-tier brass bound mahogany bottom section now with shallow later glazed top lid, nickel plated brass external drop handles
