The silvered dial signed French, Royal Exchange, London, No. 8121, Roman hour numerals, large and decoratively engraved subsidiary seconds dial with "half seconds" intermarkers, up-and-down dial, blued steel hands, main frame assembly inscribed French Royal Exchange London 8121 carrying the remainder of the train, Earnshaw escapement, cut bimetallic balance with capped cyclindrical heat compensation weights and peripheral screws, blued steel helical balance spring, dovetail spring detent with jewelled locking stone to side of banking block, the fusee square with form of Barraud's "tipsy" winder, brass bowl and gimbal in restored three-tier brass bound mahogany box, the centre section with inset bone disc inscribed 8121, external brass drop handles
