A William and Mary walnut and floral marquetry longcase clock

The case with later ebonised skirting to the plinth inlaid within a boxwood line border, convex moulding above to the rectangular trunk door with glazed lenticle and D-ended panels with similar bird-and-floral marquetry, convex throat moulding to the flat-top hood with ebonised twist columns and floral marquetry to the dial aperture, the 10 in. sq. gilt dial signed Jno. Williamson in Leeds Fecit beneath the silvered chapter ring with pierced blued steel hands (later hour hand), the matted centre with ringed winding holes, decorated calendar aperture and rosette-engraved centre, subsidiary seconds ring (lacking hand), the florally engraved border with winged cherub-and-foliate spandrels, the five ringed pillar movement with anchor escapement and inside countwheel strike on a bell
