The frosted gilt bar movement with bimetallic balance, flat blued steel hairspring with endcurves, the hairspring clamp and blued steel regulator mounted on the engraved cock with ruby endstone, counterpoised steel lever escapement, bimetallic strip for the temperature indication, the white enamel dial with regulator layout, outer minute ring with Arabic five minute indexes, subsidiary dials for Roman chapter ring combined with date, running seconds combined with elapsed seconds operated by a slide in the band, sector for the moon combined with lunar calendar at XII, sector for temperature indication in Fahrenheit and Centrigrade at XI, blued steel hands, in plain 22 carat gold case with hinged back with engraved blue enamel Roman chaper ring with central tact hand engaging in a special hour wheel mounted to the centre of the movement, with spring loaded pawl to enable the tact hand to be brought to the correct time in a clockwise direction but to rotate freely in an anti-clockwise direction, the time being read by the eleven platinum hour touchpieces in the band, snap on gold cuvette secured by a screw (lacking) casemaker's mark GH for Gustavus Huguenin, case, dial and movement signed, case and movement numbered
