The frosted gilt Lepine type Premiere Classe movement with five wheel train jewelled to the centre, the precision monometallic two-armed compensation balance with inset screws, straight line lever escapement under the dial, flat blued steel hairspring with endcurves, diamond endstone, double parachute shock absorber, blued steel regulator segment, repeating on a single square section gong by depressing a plunger in the band, the silver engine-turned dial with polished Roman chapter ring, small off-set subsidiary seconds, instantaneous hours indication, gold moon hands, signed on a cartouche, in engine-turned gold and silver case numbered T3711, with hinged gold back and bezel, the cuvette secured by two screws, casemaker's mark MAB, with Breguet et Cie numbered presentation box and certified extract from the workbooks, case and dial signed and numbered

M. Le Comte de Toreno was just one of the members of the Spanish aristocracy who patronised Breguet following the restoration of the Bourbons to the French and Spanish thrones and the subsequent improved relations between the two countries.

The case for this watch was made by Tavernier, a most accomplished and skilled craftsman who began work with Breguet in 1792 and continued working under his son following Breguet's death in 1823.
