The mercurial gilded gut fusee movement with verge escapement, turned baluster pillars, pierced cock and foot with foliate design secured by a single screw, steel two-armed balance, turned blued steel worm set-up with blued steel scrolled and faceted brackets (steel pointer lacking), signed in a cartouche flanked by a floral engraving, the painted polychrome enamel dial with translucent centre field on guilloche background surrounded by a floral pattern, with Roman numerals and decorative half hour marks, single gilt hand, in circular gold case, painted scene of three fisherman in a rural landscape to the inside, the outside of the case centred by a painted portrait of Virtue, with outer painted enamel floral design in high relief, on green translucent enamel with guilloche background, similar flat enamel painted design to the rim, split bezel with engraved decoration, in restored leather covered outer case with gold pinwork, movement signed
