Sauternes, 1er grand cru class. Chteau-bottled
Original capsule. Bin-soiled label. Hayward Bros slip label. Excellent level: base of neck
A very great vintage though not as dramatically powerful as 1945 red Bordeaux, more delicacy, ethereal. Yquem superb. Always reminds me of orange blossom, sweet, crisp, honey-coloured. Very high marks at the Zurich tasting in December 1995. MB
