Tokaji Esszencia--Vintage 1947 Probably the greatest post-war vintage. Great wine. Tasting note: medium-deep amber, apple-green rim; apples, honey, whiff of cloves; very sweet, soft, velvety, fat, ripe, luscious, good length. Glorious. M.B.
